Holden's Ranch is a favorite South Carolina staple that's been around for decades. Locals come to the Ranch from far and wide to get some of Holden's Ranch's famous chicken stew cube sure to crush up the hush puppies or crackers in the stew), another favorite is the hash. Let me not forget the homemade, mouthwatering cobblers; peach, blueberry and apple, all equally delicious! The restaurant is clean, simple and quite comfy like a little country kitchen. You can phone in your order and they'll have it ready for you in less than 15 minutes!
Since discovering this place I have made it one of my stops when passing through the area. The chicken stew lives up to its reputation.
The chicken stew is amazing. We stop there every time we drive past Spartanburg. Great cole slaw and hush puppies too!
The best chicken stew in South Carolina maybe in the South. I having been going to Holdens Ranch for many years and it never gets old. I always buy 12 quarts and freeze and have on cold rainy nights.
